OUR camera club members had their eyes to the skies as the first full moon of 2020 arrived.
Friday night saw January’s wolf moon and a penumbral lunar eclipse.
This is where the Earth’s main shadow does not cover the moon.
It results in a slight shadowing of the moon’s brightness.
The moon gets its name from early Native American tribes where it was known as this because of the time of year when hungry wolf packs howled outside their camps.
