SOUTHEND United manager Sol Campbell seems unlikely to recall Tom Clifford from his loan spell at Concord Rangers.
The Shrimpers are short of left-backs with Nathan Ralph and Harry Lennon both ruled out for the rest of season and Harry Kyprianou still sidelined with a long-term Achilles problem.
But Campbell will not be bringing back Clifford despite the 20-year-old earning good reviews with the Beach Boys.
"I’ve got enough," said Campbell.
"It’s about getting players in the transfer window because we need players who are ready to go.
"We need experienced players who are ready to step in and can do a job.
"That’s the situation we’re in.
"We need a bit more experience to change losses into draws and draws into wins.
"That’s what I’m focusing on."
Clifford has come through the ranks at Roots Hall and has made one substitute appearance for the first team.
