SOUTHEND United fans have their say on yesterday's 1-1 draw at AFC Wimbledon.
It was nice not to lose and there appears to be a bit more fight in the team. But barely any of those players are League One standard and we still need a huge clear-out between now and next season.
@Moorhouse79
First half pretty poor. It’s pretty clear that there are some out there who really don’t care. Second half was a bit better- higher intensity in parts made AFC look like a bad team. Point was still probably a bit of a steal. Hopper and Demetriou didn’t stop all day, fantastic.

Just like Rotherham we kicked into gear in the second half after a frankly awful start to the game. We dominated most of the second half and we had the opportunity to equalise quite a few times before we did. Brilliant to see Kelman and Barratt back from injury.

Happy New ear. Nice to get a point. Pleased with never say die attitude. Did think we allowed them too much space, whereas they were first to ball and closed us down too easily. Certainly positives to take from game, including great seeing Eren start and Sam B coming on.
@robertaskew7
Improving all the time. Hopper, Mantom and Demetriou all did well. Good impact by subs Kelman and Barratt. A tough tackling midfielder would make a huge difference.

No miss hit back passes or slip up this week to destroy belief onwards and upwards.
@phillsilver9
Well at least there’s a bit of fight in the team now. But we’ve sunk so low we think a point is a good result against a poor team and I hate to state the obvious, but we need wins not draws.

Unbeaten in 2020! Potentially turning a corner. No signs of the auto collapse which has dogged our season thus far!! Still poor displays but hopefully a slow boost of confidence!!
@NGP1978
A clear change in the never give up up attitude which is good but lack of quality and concentration is hurting us, but we’ve stopped the losing streak
@Sufc_Evans
Two poor sides first half, Blues didn't work hard enough to prevent the goal.Second half there was an improvement, we had more possession but nearly conceded, main problem is midfield as soon as this area is sorted and we get a left back we may start winning.

Seems to me Charlie Kelman is a very clever player, completely switched on for a young lad. Listening to what the defenders are talking about, being tired, first class Charlie. Gives us fans who are suffering something to carry on for, NOW we kick on.
