A SEX offender who failed to register with police has been jailed.
As part of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, Southampton man Bryan Thompson was required to register with police within a 12 month period.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, the 53-year-old pleaded guilty to failing without reasonable excuse to comply with requirements as part of the Sexual Offences Act by failing to register police within a 12 month period.
Thompson, of Gordon Avenue, Southampton, was committed to prison for four weeks.
He was also ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
