Speed demon Alex Albon who made his debut in Formula 1 has been recognised at an annual awards ceremony.
He was named Rookie of the Year at the FIA Prize Giving ceremony.
The FIA is the governing body of F1 and every year hands out awards to drivers who have impressed in the motorsport world.
Members of the FIA Drivers’ Commission voted for Alex who started the season with Toro Rosso before impressing on his promotion to Red Bull Racing.
Alex, who is a former pupil at Littlegarth School, in Nayland, finished eighth in the drivers’ standings in his debut season.
The British-born Thai driver will race for Red Bull again next year.
