A COLCHESTER garage has become the first in town to be awarded a British Standards Institution (BSI) Automotive Kitemark.
The Frank Shaikly and Son on Hawkins Road, Hythe, was awarded the quality assurance mark for garage operators after passing a series of practical tests.
It will now appear on the BSI Kitemark's web-based register.
Owner Michael Shaikly, said: "Our business has been built on recommendation and we wanted a clear sign that the service we provide is of the very highest quality."
Established 30 years ago and now employing 11 staff, the business is undergoing a £150,000 investment.
