TONIGHT'S launch of Colchester's first ever drive-in cinema has been cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
Nightflix has had to cancel the first showing due to windy weather.
All those who has purchased tickets should have been contacted about the cancellation.
However if not, please contact the firm via their website here.
An assessment will be made tomorrow as to whether the film showing on Saturday will go ahead.
The Winter Food and Film Wonderland is set to come to the former Sainsbury’s site in Stanway.
The central feature of the wonderland will be its a giant screen, measuring 60ft by 40ft, which will screen classic Christmas movies and other favourite films.
The screen has FM transmission installed so viewers will be able to tune in their car radios to hear the film.
Films such as Die Hard, The Greatest Showman and Bad Santa are set to be shown over the coming weeks.
Tickets cost £25 for a standard car.
