CCTV cameras will be installed at Wickford Memorial Park.
Councillors at the council have agreed to install CCTV cameras at Wickford Memorial Park, which will cost £26,494.
Councillors agreed to the install the cameras at a committee meeting on Wednesday, with the CCTV set to be installed next week.
Councillor David Harrison said: “These cameras will help to make people feel safer whilst using the park and capture images that can be used by the police as evidence if a crime takes place.
"The decision to install CCTV was taken in consultation with the police and we are committed to working with them to provide safe parks for our residents to enjoy.”
