Police officers carried out patrols after concerns about illegal right turns on a busy Colchester road.
Essex Police carried out checks at the Cymbeline Way and Sheepen Road junction after complaints from residents.
In a post on Facebook the force said: " Two days ago we reported on Twitter we had been on patrol and handing out tickets to drivers on Cymbeline Way/Sheepen Road Colchester after local residents have complained to us about drivers not wanting to sit in traffic and illegally turn right into Sheepen Road.
"It was shocking to see how many failed to follow the road sign of the no right turn instruction.
"We have been back out again this morning and carried out static checks at Sheepen Road.
"Despite standing there in bright jackets they still turn in."
