PUDSEY came to watch children get creative at a pottery painting fundraiser.
Essex Pottery Studio in Greenstead Green hosted a painting session for youngsters to raise money for Children in Need.
Mandy Reid, business owner, said the day was a huge success with the studio full of children throughout the day.
She said: “It was a fantastic day, we were painting pottery Pudseys.
“It was part of a national event so we made Pudseys for 50 studios up and down the country.
“They were all painted on the same day.
“It was raising awareness and it was great fun for the kids.”
Children paid £12 to paint a pottery Pudsey and all the profits will go to Children in Need.
Mandy said: “Hopefully we will raise a few thousand pounds.
“It was going on all day and we had people coming in all the time.
“Every table was full in the afternoon.”
The studio has been working hard for months to create enough Pudseys to distribute across the country.
Mandy added: “We have been making them since July right up until the last minute.
“My husband had to keep making new moulds to keep the production line going.
“The kids loved it.”
The children were delighted to see Pudsey himself stop by the studio to check their progress.
They took time out from painting to give him a cuddle and pose for photographs.
