A SPORTS car driver was ‘‘lucky to escape with minimal injuries’’ after colliding with a tree, according to a response officer.
PC Si Bailey works for the local policing team at Basildon Police Station.
On Saturday he posted a set of shocking crash scene images on his official Twitter page.
The images show a severely damaged silver Ford Mustang which had ‘‘dangerously slid into a tree.’’
According to officer, the devastating crash was a result of the car being driven during greasy conditions.
At least two ambulances attended the incident, which left parts of the £40,000 vehicle hanging off.
Writing on Twitter PC Si Bailey said: ‘’A silver Ford Mustang had dangerously slid into tree while driving in greasy conditions.
