A MAN was threatened with a knife in an alleyway and forced to hand over a three-figure sum of cash, police say.
Essex Police are appealing for information after the knifepoint robbery in Leigh yesterday at 4.15pm.
Police say the victim, a man aged in his 20s, was approached in Dawlish Drive by a man he did not recognise.
The victim was taken into an alleyway, which is just before the turning for Elm Road, where he was threatened with a knife and forced to hand over a three-figure sum of cash.
The victim was not harmed during the incident.
The robber was wearing black and had his face covered, including wearing sunglasses.
He wore distinct red and black Yeezy trainers and left the scene in a small white car, which may have had a chequered roof.
The car turned back towards Pall Mall. Police say they are carrying out enquiries to find out its route after the incident.
