AN investigation into claims a pensioner was assaulted by a paramedic has been put on file.
Alan Toussaint, 71, had claimed he was pushed by an emergency service worker who attended his home in Rectory Road, Rowhedge.
Mr Toussaint had called for an ambulance after his wife Brenda, 83, suffered a fall on August 13.
He accused one member of the responding ambulance crew of pushing him in the chest.
An Essex Police spokeswoman confirmed the investigation had been filed.
She said: “This means there are currently no other lines of inquiries for our officers to follow.
“It doesn’t mean the case has been closed as any additional information received in relation to the incident will be looked into and investigated where appropriate.”
