A NEW training room has been established to help aspiring plumbers learn their trade.
Sanitary fitting firm GROHE has sponsored the facility at Colchester Institute in Sheepen Road, Colchester.
It is the first sponsored facility for a training college in the UK.
The college, which offers courses and apprenticeships in plumbing, has been given a display rig and 18 bathroom suites for students to practise.
Chris Penney, training manager at GROHE, will also become a guest lecturer.
Adam Ward, assistant principal of Braintree campus and STEM said: “They bring so many benefits to our students’ learning experience not least ensuring they are continually exposed to cutting edge products and latest installation techniques.”
