ATTENDEES at an annual black tie event will step back in time as they help raise money for a brain injury charity.

Headway Essex will host the event on March 6 at the Stoke by Nayland Hotel.

This year's theme is vintage Hollywood.

Last year the Arabian Nights Ball, inspired by Scheherazade’s 1001 Tales and Arabian Nights, helped raise £20,000 for the charity.

And the charity is hoping 2020 will be even bigger and better.

All guests will enjoy a sparkling reception with canapés and a three course dinner followed by a live auction and raffle.

This year items auctioned off included a luxury villa stay, a weekend in a cosy coastguard’s cottage and a golfing break in the luxury Vale Hotel.

Tracy Wellsted, fundraising manager, said: “We always pay special attention to our popular themed black tie events to ensure that all our guests have a wonderful experience, whilst raising funds for Headway Essex.

"This year is no exception, so let us sweep you away with the romance, glitz and glamour of a golden era of Hollywood”.

This year, back by popular demand, those attending can dance the night away with disco funk band, Frisco Monk.

Headway Essex provides support, rehabilitation and information to brain injury survivors, their families and carers.

Early bird tickets priced at £70 per person or £650 for a table of ten are available until December 20.

The early bird offer is now live and will be available until Friday 20th December 2019.

Thereafter tickets are £75 per person and £750 for a table of ten.
