Police are looking to identify these two men in relation to an alleged assault that took place on the A127 in Rayleigh.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was driving a works van with a colleague towards Southend on the A127.

A white transit style van is thought to have tried to undertake the vehicle on the A130 slip road.

Items were then thrown from the van.

The victim then left the A127 at the Rayleigh Weir but the other vehicle got in front and brought the vehicle to a stop after which there was an altercation which involved a man receiving cuts and bruises to his face.

The incident took place at 4.30pm on 9 May. Details are being released now as other ways of trying to identify the suspects have not proved successful.

The first suspect is described as a white man in in his late 20s with short dark hair and was wearing a dark t shirt with orange high visibility trousers. He has tattoos on his arms.

The second man is white, aged in his 20s, with short light brown hair and was wearing a grey long sleeved top and blue tracksuit bottoms with three white stripes down the leg.

Police are also looking for a third man who is white, tall, with light brown straight hair and aged in his mid 20s.
