HUNDREDS of people showed up to watch the heart-warming hilarity in this drama group’s take on a TV classic.
Maldon Drama Group put on a three-day production of The Vicar of Dibley.
The show put together the highlight moments from the TV series which Geraldine Granger – played by Helen Rasmussen – must navigate her life as the new vicar in the eccentric parish of Dibley.
A spokesman for the group said: “We had a fantastic sell-out run, more than 550 people came to see the play.
“Maldon Drama Group is really going from strength to strength and building a great reputation for quality productions.
“The audience seemed to have a great night and all went away with big smiles.”
