Resounding victory: Plonkers Cup winners Jamie King and Alan Mann receive their trophy from club captain Barrie Wheatley.
HARWICH and Dovercourt Golf Club’s Jubilee Cup team were in semi-final action at Woolston Manor Golf Club, against Playgolf, from Colchester. Unfortunately, the team lost 5-4 after a close match.
Meanwhile, the Plonkers Cup was played at Harwich.
In this competition, a low and high-handicapper play together.
The result was a resounding win for Jamie King and Alan Mann, with a total of 49 points.
In second place were Jago Hepburn and Andy Hannon, with 43 points, and in third were David Day and Tony Sage, with 42 points.
Overall, £824 was raised for cancer charities.
