Strong performance: Harwich's swimmers were on form at the Halstead season sprint starter open meet, at Braintree.
A STRONG team of 20 Harwich Swimming Club members successfully competed in the Halstead season sprint starter open meet, at Braintree.
They came away with a haul of 24 medals.
Daryl Rands won five in total.
Sam Hand won four and Luke Powell three.
The other medallists were Sophie Cripps, Oliver Dann, Matthew Kent, Charlie Newman, Molly Richardson, Thomas Richardson, Isabelle Tye and Daisy Ward.
There were a total of 33 personal bests and six of the swimmers got county times, which allows them to enter the Essex County Championships early next year.
The other swimmers taking part were Joshua Annett, Menna Beegan, Thomas Fisher, Jemima Garner, Ethan Jennings, Eleanor Newman, Daniel Powell, Stephanie Rice and Bella Ward.
