MOTORCYCLE riders will return to Harwich this year to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Essex Air Motorcycle Run.

Thousands of people are expected to participate in the 60-mile route from Ford Dunton to Harwich in aid of life-saving charity on Sunday, September 8.

The fun-fuelled day will include a bike show, bands providing live music, trade stands showing off the latest kit and bikes, and a children’s zone.

The Family Fun Day, which provides an ideal spot to watch the hundreds of bikes arrive, is free to attend with a suggested £5 donation to help with covering the event’s costs.

Parking for visitors will be at Cliff Park via Dovercourt High Street, but those taking part will be guided to parking reserved on the day.

Throughout the Motorcycle Run and Family Fun Day, Essex & Herts Air Ambulance will be using the hashtags #RideSafe and #MotorcycleRun to raise awareness of their safety message and to promote the event.

Registration for those wishing to participate in the bike run are open.

A standard rider ticket costs £10, whereas Riders + Pillion tickets are £15.
