YOUNGSTERS learnt a thing or two about accessorising at a keyrings and charms workshop.
The creative sessions were held at Hollytrees Museum in Colchester as part of a schedule of summer holiday activities.
A Colchester Council spokesman said: “More than 30 people took part in the keyrings and charms workshops at Hollytrees Museum.
“In three fun and creative craft sessions, adults and children alike added style to their summer by making keying and charm accessories for pencil cases, bags and even clothes.
“Continuing a range of activities inspired by Colchester Castle’s new Adorn: Jewellery, The Human Story exhibition and with the chance to handle replica objects such as the first keyrings – actual keys worn as rings – everyone had a great time making beautiful trinkets.”
The exhibition at Colchester Castle will be running until February and sees historic Colchester finds return home from the British Museum.
Among them is a Roman gold ring with an engraving of emperors Marcus Aurelius and Lucius Verus, the first rulers to share power over the iconic empire.
