POLICE are appealing for information after two teenage boys were robbed after attending a house party.

The incident in Rowhedge occurred on Thursday, August 1, at a grassy area between Birch Brook and Oxton Close between 9.30pm and 10.30pm.

When the boys spoke to a group of other teenagers, they threatened the victims and robbed them of their phones and bank cards at knifepoint.

A police spokesman said: “Both boys were unharmed and managed to get to a place of safety, where the incident was reported to us.

“We believe that the group of teenagers will have been known to those who attended the party and would encourage anyone with information to come forward.”

Four boys were said to have been involved.

One was described as being between 5ft 11 and 6ft tall, he was mixed-race and of a heavy build.

He had facial hair on his chin and work a dark tracksuit with his hood up.

The second boy is believed to be around 15-years-old, was white, and had dark hair.

He was around 5ft 8 and 5ft 9ins tall and was of slim build.

He wore a grey tracksuit and is believed to have been in possession of the knife.

The third boy is believed to have been older, around 17 or 18-years-old and black.

He had no hair and is described as being of proportionate build. He spoke in a deep voice.

The fourth boy, believed to be 16 or 17-years-old, was white and stood at between 5ft 7 and 5ft 8ins. He had dark hair and also spoke in a deep voice.

A 15-year-old boy from Colchester was arrested on suspicion of two offences of robbery the following day and has since been released on bail until August 20.
