YOUNGSTERS had a chance to cool off with a water cannon as part of a last-day adventure.
Burnham Pre-School pupils, parents and staff did a tour of the town on their last day before the summer break.
They had a surprise visit from firefighters who showed the children around their fire engine.
Pre-school boss Julie Abbott said: “We went for a walk to see the boats and stop at the park for a picnic.
“The fire crew answered a call out opposite the park which turned out to be a false alarm.
“All the children were at the fence waving, so they very kindly brought the fire engine over and showed the children around.
“They let them use the hose and showed them how it worked. In the end, the children were running through the water and they were soaked!
“It was a perfect last day for our older children before they start primary school.”
