A FUNDRAISING campaign has been set up to help with funeral costs of a beloved mum who died in unexplained circumstances.

Isabella Mitchell – known as Bella - was found dead at an address in Wellesley Road, Clacton, at around 3.10pm on Monday.

Police initially launched a murder investigation, however a post-mortem examination established there were no signs that she had been assaulted or she had injuries that would have been inflicted by someone else.

They are now treating the death of Ms Mitchell, 45, as unexplained.

A fundraising campaign has now been launched to help her family pay for her funeral.

Paying tribute to her, a spokesman for the family said the animal lover would be missed everyday.

They said: “Bella was a much loved mother, sister, auntie and sister-in-law from

“She adored her animals including her dog that she affectionately called Boo Boo.

“Bella had faced many challenges throughout her life including her own mental health but her family were always very important to her.

“Sadly, earlier this week, Bella was taken far too soon from those who loved her.

“This so far unexplained tragedy has obviously left the family bereft and looking for many answers to exactly what has happened.”

A target of £5,000 has been posted and any money raised above the cost of the funeral will be given to a mental health charity.

The family plan to incorporate her favourite colours – pink and blue – into the funeral.

Senior investigating officer Det Chief Insp Daniel Stoten, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “Following the discovery of Isabella’s death we carried out a thorough investigation into the circumstances around how she died.

“Our initial enquiries indicated there were grounds to believe her death may have been suspicious.

“A post-mortem examination was carried out which has now shown no-one else was involved in her death although further tests are needed to identify what the cause of death is.

“As a result we are now treating Isabella’s death as unexplained rather than suspicious.”
