The Stanway School hosted its prom at the Jobserve Community Stadium in Colchester.
The students entered the ground on a walkway lined with family and staff before posing for a photograph and waiting on a red carpet for the rest of their friends.
There were some very unique modes of transport, including a double decker bus.
Jonathan Bland, headteacher, said it was a night to remember.
He said: “It’s the second time we’ve held it at the stadium and it’s an excellent venue.
“A lot of the community came out to see it, there were ex-students and current students.
“They had mocktails on arrival and there was a dancefloor.
“We did a big group photo in the stands of the football grounds and there was a DJ.
“They really enjoyed it and danced the night away.
“It was nice for the staff to be able to take part in the event as well.”
