PASSENGERS are being warned of delays and cancellations to rail services after a “trespassing incident”.
Southern Rail is warning customers to expect disruption until 1pm with delays of up to 15 minutes.
The incident is affecting passengers travelling between Brighton and Lewes.
A Southern Rail spokesman said: “At 11.30 this morning we received reports of a trespassing incident outside of Lewes.
“As a safety precaution train services in the area came to a stand for approximately ten minutes.

“Passengers travelling between Brighton and Lewes please be advised that your journey will be extended this afternoon by approximately 15 minutes.
“Services are now able to move through the area at a reduced speed, this may cause further delays and possible short notice alterations and cancellations to the services to in order to get services back to the scheduled timetable.”
At about 1pm a Southern Rail spokesman provided an update.
He said: "Trains are now able to run normally between Brighton and Lewes following a trespass incident between these stations."
