Motorists are facing delays across Colchester due to traffic problems. 

Drivers heading to the A12 can expect to queue after sloiw moving traffic was reported between the Ardleigh Interchange and Eight Ash Green. 

This is causing delays in the surrounding areas with traffic on the Severalls Estate and other nearby roads. 

An earlier incident involving a lorry on the A12 at the football stadium has now been cleared. 

And there are more delays close to the Mark Tey junction with queues on the A120. 

There are also delays in the town centre with queuing traffic on St Andrew's Avenue, Ipswich Road, Cowdray Avenue and Colne Bank Avenue . 

Drivers also reported gridlock in the Turner Road area.
