THE managing partner of a law firm has stepped down.
Over his nine years as managing partner, Adrian Livesley has led Birkett Long through seven acquisitions, the opening of new offices in Basildon and Chelmsford as well as building new purpose built premises in Colchester.
Mr Livesley, who has been with the firm for 40 years, said: “My vision has been to push the firm to be a better 21st century business and to be the best we can be.
“As a firm, we pride ourselves on our core values - focused on our clients, people and community.”
He handed the reins over to head of employment and partner Martin Hopkins.
Mr Livesley said: “Martin understands our values and the challenges of running a multi-dimensional business like ours.”
