THESE images of past shows at the Mercury Theatre are a reminder of what it has achieved as it looks ahead at an exciting new phase of its life.
Bosses at the popular theatre are keen to get as much support for its Mercury Rising project.
Work has already begun on the scheme to develop the space - with just £500,000 left to raise of the £9.6million cost.
This trawl through the archives reveals the diverse productions put on in just the past few decades and in recent year by its own company Made in Colchester.
They of course include the hugely popular pantomimes.
