Felt Bird and Winter Flowering jasmine by Susan Gathercole
A SNOWDONIA artist is exhibiting her latest work in Cardiff.
The Martin Tinney Gallery is featuring new paintings by Susan Gathercole, until the end of May.
A former reporter at the North Wales Chronicle, Susan was born in 1962 in Glasgow. She graduated in Fine Art from Liverpool in 1984.
She works in a small studio in north Wales, where she has lived for more than 20 years. Her work describes small domestic objects, jugs, plates and mugs, seen from an intuitive, sometimes dream-like perspective.
Susan said: “The simple, quiet act of placing a glass of wild flowers against a coloured piece of fabric is the kind of thing that interests me.”
There are approximately 25 new paintings all of which are for sale.
