The council chairman has made his final appearances before he ends his time, for good.
Henry Bass, outgoing chairman of Maldon District Council is set to be the last in a long line from his family to serve as a member.
Before he stood down from the council, Mr Bass paid visits to businesses, good causes and events across the district including; J&C's Petting Zoo, Fun Time Ponies, Pirates Bay Adventure Golf, meeting Eleanor Taylor, organiser of the Maldon Oyster and Seafood Festival, the new Maldon Splash Park and the beach huts in Maldon.
The oyster and seafood festival is set to return to Promenade Park later this year, and in his final act, Mr Bass promoted the park which is at the heart of Maldon.
He said: "Promenade park is the ‘jewel in our crown’ with an array of fantastic events throughout the summer.
"We are pleased to be able to support such experiences for the benefit of local people and to promote the area’s visitor economy.”
