A MAN who visited a DIY store left with more than he bargained for.
On Monday, a man went to B&Q in Bolton Gate Retail Park.
Staff in the store believed that the man had driven there while under the influence so alerted police.
When officers arrived, police say the man drove off so they followed him to Kay Street, where he eventually stopped.
He then failed a roadside drug test, according to police, testing positive for cannabis and cocaine.
While dealing with the incident, police received a further call, reporting that the vehicle had been stolen.
The driver was arrested for all offences and taken to Bury Police station.
