A MAN has been taken to hospital with head injuries following a crash at a petrol station.

The incident took place just before 9pm on Saturday, at Deccans Fuel, in Cleggs Lane, Little Hulton.

According to a spokesman for Farnworth Community Fire Station, one motorbike and one car collided with a petrol pump.

A man was taken to Salford Royal Hospital after suffering head injuries.

On Sunday morning, police closed a section of Cleggs Lane and Eastham Way, while they dealt with the incident.

Cordons were in place and around five police cars were at the scene.

Deccans Fuel used to be known as Cleggs Lane Service Station and there has been a number of incidents over the past few years.

It was hit by arson attacks in April, 2016 and October, 2017. In March, 2017, it was ram raided.

A man who lives on Cleggs Lane said: "There always seems to be something going on there. It's been ram raided and set on fire. They made it 24 hours to try and stop it happening."
