A SUMMER of rock fronted by Status Quo frontman Francis Rossi is coming to a Clacton theatre.

The West Cliff Theatre has a host of rock related shows lined up for the upcoming months.

Francis Rossi, the founder, leader singer and lead guitarist of Status Quo will be talking about his mishaps and adventures of life on the road with one of the biggest bands of all time.

Francis is a true member of British rock royalty.

He sang the first words at Live Aid in 1985, survived the obligatory rock’n’roll brush with alcohol and drugs, was awarded an OBE in 2010 and has a BRIT for his outstanding contribution to music.

His band has sold more than 120 million records globally.

Expect laughter, revelations, tales involving some of the giants of music, exclusive video clips, snatches of classic tunes and a great night out.

Rossi will be joined on stage by award-winning writer and broadcaster Mick Wall, who has sold more than one million books.

He’ll be at the theatre on Saturday, May 18.

Then on June 8 The Quo Experience will be taking over the theatre’s stage.

With such an impressive line-up of seriously experienced musicians and passionate Quo fans, along with a stage full show, The Quo Experience is fully armed to take the act as far as is possibly achievable in the tribute band industry.

On July 20 an incredible new live music show with Rock For Heroes will be brining the perfect combination of your favourite rock and pop artists across the era, fundraising for Help for Heroes.

There will be music from artists such as Dire Straits, Status Quo, Queen, David Bowie, Spandau Ballet, Bryan Adams, AC/DC and Elton John.

A West Cliff Theatre spokesman said: “You won’t see a bad wig here, this isn’t a tribute act this is simply paying tribute, the best way we can to the legends in music.

“This is a night not to be missed, filled with laughter, great music and all for an incredible cause.
