TWO men have been given 200 hours of unpaid work apiece after admitting drugs offences in Basildon.

Isfahan Khan, 23, of Aerofoil Grove, Colchester, and Mohammed Islam, 18, of Folkestone Road, London (E6) appeared at Basildon Crown Court for sentencing on May 2.

Khan, who had admitted to possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and possession with intent to supply heroin, also received a two-year community order and is required to undertake 30 days of rehabilitation activity.

Islam had admitted the same charges on March 28.

He received a two year sentence on each count, to run concurrently, and suspended for two years. He will also undertake 30 days of rehabilitation activity.

The pair were stopped in a BMW near Long Riding by two Op Raptor officers at around 3.50pm on November 7 last year.

Islam had two wraps of crack cocaine in his hand and, upon further searching, 30 wraps of crack cocaine and 18 wraps of heroin were found in his underwear. He was also in possession of two phones.

When searched, Khan was not found to have any drugs on him, but he did have £284.12 in cash, which has been seized by the courts.
