Rock pelting car thieves, jewel thieves and High Street purse vandalism are among the incidents reported throughout Maldon District towards the end of April.

Areas across Maldon including Althorne, Burnham, Great Totham, Heybridge, Maldon, Mayland Purleigh, Southminster, Tolleshunt D'Arcy and Wickham Bishops and Woodham have all been impacted by incidents.

This list was compiled from the reports put together by the Maldon District Neighbourhood Watch.

Here's all the incidents, and when they were reported and where they happened at the end of April.

ALTHORNE

April 16, The Street: Suspect unknown has forced open garage door. No entry gained.

April 15, Unknown Address: Suspect unknown has taken the victims rain guards from his vehicle by means unknown.

April 16, New Hall Lane: Suspect unknown has gained entry to the victim’s garden shed by means unknown and has removed the victims pedal cycle from within.

Suspect has also removed a light bulb which has been left in the garden.

April 25, Imperial Avenue: Suspect unknown has caused damaged by writing on the letter box.

April 25, Mundon Road: Suspects unknown drove through locked gates belonging to the victim which caused damage and then fly tipped rubbish on the victims land.

BURNHAM

April 14, Maldon Road: Suspects unknown have by means unknown been seen to be knocking down part built walls.

April 21, Ferry Road: Suspect unknown have by means unknown cut through the chains to remove victim’s two secured kayaks from boat marina.

Kayaks are a blue ocean prowler 13 and a white triumph perception 13.

April 23, St. Marys Road: Suspects unknown have stolen victim’s vehicle from outside his home address.

Victim still has the keys.

April 23, Springfield Road: Suspect unknown has gained entry to the building site by damaging the combination padlock to the front gate.

On entering the site, the suspect has picked the locks to three shipping containers containing equipment.

April 23, Maldon Road: Suspect unknown has gained entry to victim’s vehicle by means unknown.

No damage caused items removed.

April 22, The Quay: Suspect unknown has by means unknown stolen the victims launch trailer from the location.

GREAT TOTHAM

April 17, Colchester Road: Suspects unknown have forced entry to the victim’s property by smashing the rear patio windows. When inside have stolen various tools.

April 17, Sheepcoates Lane: Suspects unknown have gained access into the farm yard and have stolen a trailer an Arthur Williams three axel.

The trailer was silver in colour and had sides on it and also had 20 sheets of ply wood on it.

April 22, Colchester Road: Suspect unknown has gained entry to the premises causing damage. Items removed.

April 22, Staplers Heath: Suspect unknown removed victims Ford Fiesta index ET17 DSY colour black by unknown means.

April 28, Colchester Road: Suspects unknown have gained entry into the location and caused a large amount of damage to various items.

HEYBRIDGE

April 24, Goldhanger Road: Suspect unknown by means unknown smashed the rear window of victim’s vehicle silver Volkswagen up parked outside property on lay-by.

April 19, Romanhurst: Suspect unknown has smashed front off side window of black Vauxhall Corsa and stolen purse and contents.

April 26, Doubleday Drive: Suspects unknown have stolen a black Mercedes GL350 index T666 ANH.

April 27, Regency Court: Suspects unknown are at the bottom of a garden and smashing the flood defence at the Blackwater canal that leads to a pathway off Holloway road by means of using rocks.

MALDON

April 15, Park Drive: Suspect unknown has on first occasion damaged two glass panels and on the second occasion kicked out two glass panels causing damage.

April 17, Mill Road: Suspects unknown have lent over the victims fence and snapped the victim’s trellises.

Suspects have appeared to have kicked in the bottom of the victim’s fence.

April 15, St. Giles Close: Suspects unknown has been witnessed by the victim in her dwelling.

Victim has contacted police.

Suspects have gained entry via rear kitchen window conducting a search and removing the victims jewellery and cash.

April 18, High Street: Suspect unknown has stolen the victim’s purse by means unknown.

April 23, Bakers Mews/High Street: Suspect unknown has removed victim’s purse from her handbag whilst she was carrying it.

April 22, High Street: Suspect unknown caused criminal damage to victims shop by means of smashing the front window with an unidentified object causing glass to shatter onto the pavement outside.

April 23, High Street: Suspect unknown removed the victim’s purse from within her shoulder bag, which was placed on a chair whilst trying on shoes in the store, by means unknown.

A short time after the purse was stolen; a bank card from within the purse was used by the suspect to attempt to purchase items in Maldon.

April 23, High Street: Suspect unknown have attempted to gain access to the business store by means of breaking the locks and five bolts via the back door.

April 19, Quest Place: Suspects unidentified have damaged signs in a park by pulling them down.

April 27, Silver Street: Suspects unidentified entered the courtyard by means unknown and damaged the CCTV cameras.

They then stole lead off the roof and exited via the main gates.

April 25, Blythe Way: Suspect unknown attempted to enter victim’s property by means of attempting to remove the door handle on the front door.

April 15, Wycke Hill: Suspect unknown has by means unknown gained entry to the victim’s vehicle and taken items from within the rear of the vehicle.

April 23, Falcon Fields: Suspects unknown have gained access into victim’s property by means unknown.

No damage caused. Car and other items stolen.

MAYLAND

April 21, Mill Road: Suspects unknown have cut the CCTV camera wires and have then engraved into a fence panel.

PURLEIGH

April 28, Howe Green Road: Suspects unknown have forced open gates to private property and stolen an orange mini digger from the front garden.

SOUTHMINSTER

April 16, Tattersalls Chase: Suspect unknown using means unknown stole victims silver Vauxhall Corsa index EN12 LRE.

TOLLESHUNT D'ARCY

April 16, High Street: Suspects unknown have destroyed the barrier of the car park at the doctor’s surgery.

April 16, North Road: Suspect unknown has thrown a stone at the victim’s conservatory roof causing a one inch hole.

April 26, Brick House Road: Suspect unknown has gained entry to the victim’s property by means unknown and has accessed the three bedrooms and play room and stolen two watches and cash.

WICKHAM BISHOPS AND WOODHAM

April 22, Hope Garden Lane: Suspect unknown has attempted to enter victims shed by damaging the outside.

April 23, Chelmsford Road: Suspect unknown has stolen the victims white Mercedes Sprinter panel van index KN64 ZDZ which was left running outside his house whilst he went in doors to get his house keys.

April 24, Ulting: Suspect unknown has thrown a rock at the showroom window four times to try to gain entry into the showroom.

April 25, Unknown Address: Suspects unidentified have entered the farm through open gates and have removed two large digger buckets and put them into an orange transit and drove away.
