POLICE were called to reports of a man being chased by two men with machetes.

Officers were called to Chorley Old Road at around 0.30am on Friday.

They were attending following reports that a man was being chased by two vehicles.

It is believed to have taken place near the Spar store, by the Marsh Fold Lane junction.

The men driving the vehicles were believed to be carrying machetes.
