Queues are easing on the A12 this afternoon (May 2) after a load of gravel was spilt across the road.
The northbound carriageway was extremely slow due to the incident which happened near junction 21 for Witham at around 1pm.

Queues stretched back past Hatfield Peverel while police cleared the gravel.
