TWO teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a crash which left a 15-year-old boy fighting for his life.

The boy was flown to Addenbrooke's Hospital with life-threatening injuries after the crash in Turner Road, Colchester, on Wednesday.

He had been in collision with a Honda Jazz.

He is now in a serious but stable condition.

Essex Police have now confirmed two teenagers have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A 16-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were both arrest on suspicion of assault.

The girl was additionally arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Both are from Colchester and have since been bailed until May 24 as the police investigation continues.

Anyone who saw the incident, or has dash cam or CCTV footage police can view, is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting incident 718 of May 1.
