Instagram cleaning sensation Mrs Hinch has cancelled her book tour after she was hospitalised.

The Maldon social media star, Sophie Hinchliffe, 29 sent a message out to her 2.3million followers after a medical emergency forced her to be "rushed to hospital".

She and her husband are currently expecting their first son.

Speaking to her fans, who she refers to as her "Hinchers", she said: "As you know, I am always so honest with you all, throughout the good and the bad in my life.

"Unfortunately, I have been rushed to hospital.

"While out mini Hinch is being fully monitored and doing fine, unfortunately I am not well myself and I am in hospital now until further notice.

"I have wonderful doctors and nurses looking after me around the clock (and Jamie is here being amazing bless him".

"But for now, I have been told I need to focus on getting myself better and keeping healthy in order to carry on growing our mini Hinch and I must listen to professional medical advice.

"I know how amazing you all are and how much you care about me, and the last thing I would want is you all worrying about me without me saying anything at all.

"I promise to keep you all updated as much as I can and please continue to Hinch for me guys, Mrs Hinch needs her Hinchers now more than ever.

"I love you all."

Mrs Hinch was in the throws of promoting her best selling debut, Hinch Yourself Happy.

The book was the second fastest selling non-fiction title of all time, topping both Michelle Obama and Sir Alex Ferguson.

As the evening continued on, Mrs Hinch announced news many of her fans were afraid of.

Mrs Hinch's message on her Instagram said it "has been the hardest decision for me to make" when she announced she will be cancelling her remaining appearances in London, Glasgow and Southampton.

She said: "I am absolutely devastated to say that the very difficult decision has been made to cancel my remaining book tour dates in Glasgow, London and Southampton.

"I am so sorry to let you all down.

"This has been the hardest decision for me to make, and this is the hardest message I've ever had to type and I can't deny how scared I'm feeling inside right now.

"Penguin, through WH Smiths and Waterstones, will be in contact via email with you all my Hinchers to organise your full refunds.

"I really hope you all understand I need to look after my mini Hinch and put his health first, but I'll be back with you all hinching as soon as I can.

"I miss you all so much!

"As I promised, I'll keep you all updated as much as I can and please continue to hinch for me guys... One of the things keeping me going in here is seeing all of your posts and your (Instagram) stories.

"You're all just amazing.

"I apologise from the bottom of my heart."
