Officers investigating a murder believe a man was assaulted before he died at a home near Grays.
The man, in his 30s, was taken ill from an address in Parsonage Road at around 3.30am yesterday and, sadly, later died in hospital.
Police are now investigating the circumstances surrounding his death as they believe the man may have been assaulted in the days before his death.
Officers from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate have launched a murder investigation.
Officers need to speak to anyone who has any information about a disturbance in Parsonage Road between 11pm on Friday, April 12 and 2am on Saturday, April 13.
