A PERVERT previously jailed for saving sex with a girl under 13 who later went on to collect indecent images has avoided jail for breaching rules for sex offenders.

Andrew Humm admitted having sex with the teenager in 2005 and was jailed for two-and-a-half years.

Following his release, he was made subject to lifetime notification orders which he first breached in 2012, failing to tell police of a new address.

The 51-year-old was then later convicted of possessing indecent images of children in 2014.

As part of his sentence, Humm was handed a sexual harm prevention order which limits his contact with youngsters and his internet use.

But during a routine visit in July, Humm told police internet monitoring software Nanny Net had uninstalled from his iPhone following an update.

Officer found he had also deleted some of his internet history, and had a credit card which he had not disclosed for some 18 months - all of which Humm should have declared to police.

Detectives were able to trace the deleted searches and found no illegal terms.

Stephen Levy, mitigating, said the worst Humm had looked for was Ann Summers.

“There is nothing to suggest any form of illegal activity to do with children or otherwise,” he said.

Humm, of Cook Crescent, Colchester, admitted breaching his notification requirements and sexual harm prevention order last month.

At Chelmsford Crown Court he was handed a year-long community order with 30 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 80 hours of unpaid work.

He must also pay £365 in court costs.
