This haul of weapons have been seized by police during an operation earlier today.

Officers were executing a drug search warrant in the south of Colchester when they came across the stash.

A picture posted on the Essex Police - Colchester page shows want appears to be a rifle, knife and two handguns.

The operation forms part of the force's continuing efforts to reduce violence in Essex.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "Officers from Colchester's Community Policing Team executed a drugs warrant at an address in Normandy Avenue this morning, April 12.

"They were joined by officers from the Operational Support Group.

"A small quantity of cannabis and a number of weapons, including imitation firearms, were found.

"No arrests have been made. Our enquiries are ongoing."
