A man's body has been found at the foot of the Orwell Bridge just over the border in Suffolk.

There are long delays for those heading north of the county towards Ipswich this morning due to two police incidents.

Suffolk Police closed the Orwell Bridge in Ipswich at around 4.30am this morning following reports of collision involving a station vehicle parked on the bridge and a lorry.

A spokesman said: "No-one was injured in the collision.

"Police are also in the process of recovering a body of a male found at the foot of the bridge.

"At this time it is thought there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death."

One lane of the eastbound carriageway has reopened, however there are delays on the A12 at Copdock heading in to Ipswich as well as on the A14 in both directions.
