Between junction 28 and 29 on the A12
Drivers are facing long delays after the A12 was blocked.
The road was blocked in both directions between J29 the Ardleigh Crown Interchange and J28 for the football stadium.
It was due to a police incident.
Delays stretched back to Marks Tey but the road has now reopened.
One driver reported seeing police and ambulances on the A12.
