FOUR people from Colchester have appeared in court in connection with a fatal stabbing.
All four appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court where they were all formally charged with assisting an offender.
Officers were called to Turin Street just after 1.50pm on Sunday 16 December to reports that a man had been stabbed.
Daniel Saunders, aged 32 and from Surrey, died at the scene of the incident.
A Home Office post-mortem examination concluded that the cause of death was as a result of a single stab wound to the abdomen.
Arjun Jadeja,18, of The Nook, Wivenhoe; Benjamin Gosbell, aged 20, of Gratian Close, Highwoods, Colchester; Olusola Durojaiye, aged 33, of Appleton Mews, Colchester, and a 17-year-old from Colchester, will next appear at Ipswich Crown Court on Friday.
A 16-year-old boy from Bury St Edmunds has also been charged with assisting an offender.
A 17-year-old boy from Bury St Edmunds has been charged with murder in connection with the attack.
