Man in his forties pronounced dead at popular beauty spot
A MAN in his 40s has died at a popular beauty spot.
Essex Police were called to Middlewick ranges, just off Mersea Road, Colchester, at around 9.15am on Sunday.
Members of the public had reported concerns for the safety of the man.
Sadly, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesman for Essex Police said: "The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
A large emergency service presence was spotted by residents after the incident with several police and ambulance vehicles being sent to the scene.
Middlewick Ranges is owned by the Ministry of Defence.
