A PUBLIC board meeting with those responsible for commissioning medical care is drawing close.
North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group is holding its next board meeting on Tuesday, March 26.
The meeting, which is open to the public, is taking place at Long Meadows Community Centre, in Dovercourt.
Among other items, the board will be discussing the relocation of community beds from Clacton to Fryatt Hospital.
The agenda said: "Following approval, the tender process for construction works for developing a new 49 bed ward at Fryatt Hospital will commence, the tendered works will bring cost certainty to the project which in turn will enable completion of the full business case which will be submitted for approval in May or June 2019."
The meeting is running 2pm until 4.15pm.
There will be a 15 minute segment dedicated to questions from the public.
