THE family of a motorcyclist who died in a tragic accident on the A12 say they will "miss him for hte rest of our lives".

In a statement after the inquest, which ruled Mr Holding's death was as the result of a tragic accident, his family also thanked everyone for their support over the past few months.

They said: “Needless to say the past five months have turned our whole world upside down. Life for us will never be the same again.

“Liam was an absolute ray of light; a happy, friendly, caring and witty person with the biggest of hearts.

“We will miss him every day for the rest of our lives. But we are unbelievably proud of him and to have had him as a part of our family.

“We would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone that did their best to save our Liam. To the emergency services and the unfortunate witnesses.

“We have raised £1,000 already for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance after handing over a cheque at the beginning of the year, thanks to a memorial bike ride arranged by his girlfriend Katie, and requests from our incredibly brave mum [Donna Holding] to ask for donations rather than take flowers.

“From this we have already raised £750 and will be continuing to do so.

“We were lucky to have Liam a part of our lives. We will forever be grateful for that, choosing to remember him for the bright, witty charismatic, cheeky, loveable soul he was.”
