AN OLD Chinese takeaway will be given a new lease of life and turned into new homes.
Wok Around the Clock, in Silks Way, Braintree, will be turned into a one-bedroom and two-bedroom flat respectively after Braintree Council gave the conversion the all-clear.
Each apartment will be given a parking space and will benefit from being close to both the town centre and railway station.
Applicant Kim Man, who had originally proposed to turn the takeaway into four flats, now has three years to begin the conversion before planning permission expires.
